Многих покупателей смущают обозначения Full round и Full square при покупке алмазной мозаики на Алиэкспресс. На самом же деле все просто, разница состоит лишь в форме стразов, для выкладки картины. Остановимся на обоих вариантах по-подробнее.
Full Round
Дословный перевод на русский Full Round: «полный круг». Это означает, что алмазная мозаика будет состоять из круглых стразов. И вся картинка будет выложена только круглыми элементами. Такой вариант подойдет для картин, которые должны выглядеть более объемными и для подчеркивания мелких деталей 
Full Square
Данный вид мозаики на Алиэкспресс переводится как «полный квадрат». Соответственно, Full Square будет означать, что вся картина будет выложена из квадратных элементов. Такой вариант подойдет для новичков, так как с квадратными стразами легче обращаться. Так же подобные детали плотнее прилегают друг к другу.
Из многообразия товаров на Алиэкспресс, вы также сможете найти смешанные алмазные мозаики, состоящие из кругов (round) и квадратов (square) вместе.

Не хочу писать кучу всего не нужного. Просто напишу конкретный отзыв.
У меня много разных хобби и увлечения для расслабления, например, лепка изделий из полимерной глины, валяние шерсти, рисование картин по номерам, деревянный пазл и сбор румбокса в основном все это я покупаю на АлиЭкспрессе. И тут мне захотелось попробовать алмазную вышивку.
Заказала я картину на Али, и пришла она через 20 дней в Москву. Хорошо упакована и почти без дефекта, который я увидела не сразу, но об этом позже.
При выборе картины помимо размера, выбирала еще и что-то не обычное «Square Drill или Round Drill». Потом стало понятно, что это вид кристаллов.
Картина пришла с полным набором всего того, что может потребоваться в процессе. А именно:
У меня не было специальных коробочек для страз, по этому я просто срезала у пакетиков верх, и написала номер на малярном скотче.
Липкий слой нанесен на саму картину. Таким образом вам не нужно никуда макать кристаллы, например, в клей, для фиксации их.
Как видно из фото, на картине определённый цвет помечен символом. А сам символ можно найти с права от картины.
Удовольствие сбора картины растянулась у меня на 3 недели 
Клеила ее только когда мне очень хотелось.
О недостатке:
В самом начале я этого не заметила, но между липким слоем и картиной есть залом. Я выделила красным.
О достоинствах:
Картинка вышла весьма красивой, пусть и размывчатой. Алмазы, кроме места залома, держатся очень хорошо.

В целом, мне очень понравилось время, которое я провела с этой картиной.
Это совершеннейшее не то! Вот уж точно «горячее надувательство»!

Уже давно множество людей заказывает алмазные мозаики из Китая. Многие даже со своими фото и все довольны.
Очень долго я облизывалась на мозаики из страз! А ещё дольше выбирала рисунок. Такой чтобы не надоел когда будет собран.
Я не люблю банальные рисунки, поэтому не собираю и пазлы, а главное не представляю куда девать собранный рисунок с обезьянкой, котиком итд.
Поэтому выбрала то, к чему в данный момент лежала душа и уже решила кому я подарю в подарок готовую картину.
У этого злосчастного продавца все заказавшие тоже были довольны! Вот что значит, у людей нет культуры честных отзывов. Меня такое несоответствие отзыва в 5 звёзд и полученной в итоге подделки, приводит в бешенство.
На картинке продавца, в выбранной мной мозаике было множество отличающихся по фактуре и размеру элементов.
Именно фактурность и выразительность картины (иконой я это, конечно, не назову).
Если присмотреться. На фото видны крупные стразы разных размеров и цветов и даже квадратные.
Я считаю, не малая и за неё в Москве нашлась бы какая-нибудь простейшая мозаика.
Недолго раздумывая, я сделала заказ и уже настроилась на получение посылки и дальнейший релакс.
Доставка
Ожидать мне пришлось 17 дней. Это не так уж долго.
На почте, среди других посылок, я получила продолговатый сверток. Сразу поняла что это и в предвкушении пошла домой.
Когда я развернула сей шедевр, то несколько минут пристально его рассматривала и недоуменно размышляло что же меня заставила заказать это унылое произведение китайской промышленности.
На первый взгляд всё было в комплекте и холст с наклеенной плёнкой и подписанные пакетики и палочка, и даже лоток.
Холст был помят и это немудрено, ведь перед отправкой его просто скручивают трубочкой.
Но стразы странным образом напоминали купленные мной в групповых закупках стразы для ногтей.
Очень явственно я могу себе представить, как может упасть зрения после бессонных бдений над картиной с настолько микроскопическими элементами.
Я смотрела на неё, грустила.
А на следующий день мне пришло уведомление от Алиэкспресс, мол, уважаемая госпожа, ваш товар пришёл на почту, вы его получили, так будьте добры подтвердить получение.
Кроме как обманом это никак не назовёшь. Чем чем тут можно быть довольной? И я твердо решила, что так я это не оставлю.
Я уже забыла, когда мне приходили вещи настолько не похожие на оригинал.
Сейчас открыт спор. По ходу его ведения я буду обновлять отзыв.
Сразу после открытия диспута мне начал писать продавец. Развел настоящий чат и доказывал мне, что то, что я вижу на заглавном фото –обман зрения.
Может я одна такой уникум? А все остальные видят на заглавном фото картину с разного размера полубусинами, выпуклыми элементами, а представляют панно с еле заметными дешевыми стразами?
Несмотря на это я считаю несправедливым заранее вводить людей в заблуждение выкладывая на главной странице одно фото и присылая в итоге другое.
Я специально пробежалась по продавцам таких же картин. И что же я увидела? Одно и тоже фото у всех и в описании, в самом конце, также маленькое фото этих микростраз.
Ожидание/реальность.
А справа жалкое подобие.
И естественно, стразами входящими в комплект никогда не выложить ту, что слева.
Стрелочками я отметила наиболее явные несоответствия. Это фото я выложила и в споре, для наглядности. Это забавно, но иногда фото без вот таких явно подчеркнутых косяков, ничего не не доказывают продавцу.

Итоги
Конечно, алмазная мозаика очень заманчивая вещь и вероятно красивая при правильно подобранной картинке и материалах, но не в моём случае, когда ожидание и реальность расходятся так явно.
Спор
Как и обещала, я буду описывать ход спора. После открытия спора мне было дано время договориться с продавцом и уладить конфликт.
Продавец очень несговорчивый. Упрямо стоял на том, что я с помощью телепатии должна была догадаться о размере страз и о несоответствии того, что я получу, оригиналу который выложен на странице товара.
На каждую мою реплику, на каждое замечание или фото доказательство он всегда отвечает.
Спор был обострён.
После этого продавец предложил мне два варианта :
Ни один из предложенных вариантов меня не устраивает.
Через 2 дня, срок в который мы должны прикладывать дополнительные доказательства и ещё раз объяснять наши точки зрения, истечёт и спор начнут рассматривать независимые эксперты, судьи Али или кто там этим занимается.
Когда они вынесут решение, отзыв будет ещё раз обновлён.
Итоги спора
Это первый из всех моих споров, в котором я проиграла имея настолько веские доказательства. Комиссия которая рассматривала материалы дела, полностью встала на сторону продавца и присудила мне возврат в 2 доллара!
Я подала на апелляцию! И этот опыт для меня в новинку. Моя уверенность в том, что мне вернут полную суммы, меня покинула.

Square Vs. Round Drill: What’s The Difference?
In Paint With Diamonds, a «drill» simply refers to the shape of each individual diamond you’ll be applying to your canvas. If it’s confusing, just replace the world «drill» in your head with the word «diamonds.»
In choosing between square and round drill, it’s important to know that there are no right answers. As with so many things in life, this is more or less a subjective preference! Your goal should be to choose whichever shape that YOU personally think is most beautiful :).
Square Drill (aka Square Diamonds)
What People Are Saying
Creates A Fuller, More Complete Looking Painting.
Square drill diamonds look a bit «cleaner» than round drill diamonds. They line up more easily and create a «fuller» mosaic look when enjoyed from a distance.

I prefer round drills by far. They are neater, shinier, easy to line up straighter and the “gaps” people are talking about do not make a difference since good canvases match the drill color. Square drills have to be perfect or they look sloppy and out of line, they pop off if not placed perfectly and if not a consistency shape, look messy. You have to be careful where you buy the kits because drills can be very irregular thus making the picture look awful, especially if the drills are square. Sometimes you have to pay a title more form quality products. I’ve done many many paintings and prefer round.

My hands are a little bit shaky as I have emphysema and am on Albuterol which makes most people shaky. I have trouble getting the square diamonds exactly straight in the squares provided. After I have done a bunch will it show that they are a little wonky? I am having a dickens of time straightening them with tweezers.

Squares. I have always preferred squares, but I thought I’d give a round one a try while I wait for my Square one on the slow boat from China. I have to use that pink pen. The pen isn’t my problem, it’s the pink wax stuff, or the moldable tack stuff. It’s all frustrating, I have to reload all the time and I can only pick one up at a time. I use tweezers with my square ones and it’s so much better, no sticky frustrating stuff and I can pick up and place 2-3 at a time. I can also push the diamonds around to get them perfect with my tweezers. The pink good just collapses when you try to push the round around with the end of it, so you better get right the first time.

I have done both round & square drill. I do this for relaxation & to ease my stress. The round drill are much more calming & relaxing. I really don’t see that much difference between the two when finished. Please give this minority an option for round drill on ALL paintings. Thanks.

I don’t care that the round drills can be placed “faster”, I am not looking for fast, I’m looking for the best when I’m finished. I’ve never had a problem with the square drills. Love the products!

I prefer the round diamonds. The square ones have to be right on and if they’re just a hair off the others won’t fit in place and it throws off the whole painting. Also at the end you have to push down on the drills on the painting to make sure all the diamonds click into place. Then I spray Mod Podge Super Glossy Acrylic spray to set the drills in place. Hope that helps others when picking either square or round.

Using the square is more tedious and nerve racking. If they’re not exactly straight they buckle. Some diamonds are not cut completely making them to big for the space thus creating lines that wobble. Using round, things flow better, I can enjoy doing the picture and it is done faster. The only way you actually see spaces if your up on top of the painting. The background is the same color as the diamond so it blends in nicely. And the shiny effect is more brilliant. I’ve done 30 of these so far and round is my choice.

I have tried both. I actually prefer Round. The Square ones take a LOT more time and the canvas printing is to hard to read The colors of the blocks on the canvas are Very hard to see, hence much more difficult to use the proper Diamond.

The round diamonds always come with the background the same color as the diamonds therefore you can hardly see the spaces also the printing is shaped round not square.

Tried all the tips to flatten the canvas. What works like a charm for me is putting the canvas between 2 pieces of cardboard and slipping it between my mattress and box spring overnight. Works!

I too have had trouble with the square diamonds. I found in large areas of the same color they start not lining up. Not giving up because portraits do look more realistic. Going to try a tip I just saw, stagger in a diamond pattern – lines up and just fill in. We’ll see! The ‘pop up’ s real & frustrating. Used glitter Modge Podge in the ‘pop up areas’ – kept beads glued and a little glitter effect to hide them.

I did an owl for a friend and working in a couple more. I prefer the square because the round looks incomplete. It leave too many gaps and the squares don’t leave gaps and looks finished and professional.

I’m working on my first PWD. My order came with square drill. I like how they fit into place and its pretty easy to place 1 at a time. However using the tool to place multiple diamonds at once, it starts to get sloppy and its really hard to get each of the squares to line up perfectly. They are hard to remove and replace, so I’m having some trouble with diamonds popping back up. I am planning on framing and hanging this piece, and in the long run I think it will be fine and not noticeable, but as a I work its very annoying for them to pop up and sometimes as I try to “smooth” the gems sometimes they pop right off.
If I do this again, I will have to try the round cut 🙂

The first two paintings I finished were using round diamonds. One was a partial painting and the other was a very large, white tiger, partial painting. Turned out awesome. Then I’ve started using square drills and the finished painting is fuller and

are different sizes. Some concave drills too large for canvas pattern. Smaller drills look flat. Also uses symbols, not used to makes for slower work.

I have made over 50 of these for myself and as gifts. I prefer the ease of the round drills but the look of the square drills. Square drills take longer because you have to be more precise but the time invested is worth the quality of the finished product. I also frame them and embellish the frames with flowers, butterflies, feathers, etc. to match the picture. People love them and I have even been able to sell a few!

I’ve done many of both, and like each technique. My frustration lies in the fact that with the squares, you’ll hear them “snap” in place; then later you’ll see that many have popped up and you then have to go back and snap them down again.
That is taking the fun out of it for me.
