On February 21st, 2021, TikTok [1] user kyleroyce posted a video captioned «who else is super straight?» in which he explained that due to being called «transphobic» after refusing to date trans women, who he did not consider to be «real women,» he decided to created a new label for his sexuality, choosing the term «super straight» to identify heterosexual people who exclusively date cis people (reupload shown below).

As of March 5th, the video received over 13 million views on TikTok with the hashtag #superstraight gaining over 11.9 million tags. [2] [3] On March 6th, Kyloroice removed the video from TikTok, [4] writing that people were sending his mother death threats over it. On March 3rd, 2021, Twitter [5] account @OGSuperstraight reuploaded the video, with the reupload gaining over 263,900 views in five days.
Spread
On February 28th, Urban Dictionary [6] user Don1001 added a definition for «super straight,» with the definition gaining over 640 likes and 320 dislikes in one week. On March 1st, Urban Dictionary user Zesteas added an alternative definition that gained over 1,600 likes and 670 dislikes in one week.
On March 1st, the /r/SuperStraight [7] subreddit was launched, gaining over 16,000 members in one week.
On March 1nd, 2021, TikTok user @heartxhitta suggested choosing black and orange as a flag for super straight, with @Kyloroice [8] posting another video captioned «Super Straight’s official flag: let our voices be heard!» (video made private, still image shown below).
On March 2nd, TikTok [9] user tblizzy posted a video about the spread of the term in which she criticized it, also accusing TikTok of «not letting» negative response videos about the trend be seen. The video received over 3 million views in one week (shown below).
Starting on March 5th, 2021, several threads about the spread of the term were made on 4chan’s /pol/ and other boards, with users urging others to assist the spread of the term and the black-and-orange flag (post screenshots shown below). For example, on March 5th, an anonymous user created a thread on /pol/ [10] board that received 323 replies. Another thread [11] created on the same day received over 410 replies. In the threads, multiple users referred to «super straight» as «SS,» making a reference to Nazi Germany’s Schutzstaffel. [12] [13]
On March 6th, 2021, Twitter user @supa_str8 [14] made a post about the term, claiming that Super Straights were a part of the LGBTQ+ community. The tweet received over 1,300 retweets, 10,300 quote retweets and 6,300 likes in three days.
In the following days, TikTok videos in which users both criticized the movement and came out as super straight went viral (examples shown below).
Following the spread of the term, terms «super gay,» «super lesbian,» «super bi» and «superphobic» also gained spread online. [15] [16]

A social-media trend has people identifying as ‘super straight.’ The transphobic campaign was meant to divide LGBTQ people.
What many users encountering the idea for the first time may not know, however, is that the chaos caused by the idea is precisely the point. According to discussion threads on 4chan, trolls deliberately planned to provoke a reaction and divide LGBTQ communities by spreading the super-straight idea.
‘Super straight’ originated on TikTok and spread to forums like 4chan
It appears that super straight can be traced back to the TikToker Kyleroyce, who on February 21 posted a video titled «who else is super straight?» The deleted video, which has been reuploaded to YouTube, shows the content creator sitting in a car, sharing his thoughts with the hashtags «sexuality» and «funny.» The video pulled in over a million views before the creator took it down, saying in a comment that others had «sent death threats to my mom over it.»
In the video, the creator is explicit about coining the term because he was tired of being called transphobic.
«I’ve made a new sexuality,» Kyleroyce said in his video. «Straight men get called transphobic because I wouldn’t date a trans woman. Now, I’m super straight. I only date the opposite gender, women, that are born women. So you can’t say I’m transphobic now because that is just my sexuality.»
«I created it because I was sick of being labeled with very negative terms for having a preference, something I can’t control, and getting labeled by the community that preaches acceptance with that sort of stuff,» Kyleroyce told Insider. «It was never meant to be hateful towards anyone.»
Over the next two weeks, the super-straight video started to spread on social media, eventually hitting the /pol board of 4chan, known for being a home to far-right trolls, and growing from there. The board members discussed creating and sharing memes about being super straight to «drive a wedge» within LGBTQ communities and «use the left’s tactics against themselves, call them bigots for not accepting super straights,» according to several posts and deleted threads shared on Twitter. The posts also directly linked the abbreviation for super straight to the Nazi SS.
Super-straight discussion also appeared on Kiwi Farms, an online board similar to 4chan with little moderation or oversight.
Over the weekend, ‘super straight’ conversation moved over to Twitter and Reddit
Over the weekend, conversation around super straight became a large talking point on social media, seemingly following the designs of those from 4chan attempting to spread it. Users on Twitter started to identify as super straight, even going so far as describing themselves as members of the «LGTBQ+ community.»
«I know a lot of people have the same opinion as me but they are too scared to say it in fear of the backlash and the misinterpretations,» Kyleroyce said.
Critics of the movement identify it as thinly veiled transphobia.
AbbyInni said in a Twitter thread that the movement was created to «exclude trans people» and «you see trans women less as women and trans men less as men than cis people and that’s transphobic.»
«It is not transphobic, and it was never meant to be,» Kyleroyce said.
The criticism has not stopped the super-straight movement from growing.
On March 1, the subreddit Super Straight was launched and has already pulled in 17,000 subscribers. On the sub, you can find posts from people claiming they are dealing with «superphobia.»
This isn’t the first time a hate and disinformation campaign grew popular on 4chan and spread elsewhere. In 2016, 4chan users tried to convince others that they could vote online leading up to the election and that the rapper Drake had died.

Did the ‘Super Straight’ Trend Originate With Nazis on 4chan?
Regardless of who started it, be aware that the social media trend is strongly associated with transphobia now.

It is false to claim that «Super Straight» originated on 4chan, but the phrase and hashtag did go viral there.
We are unable to confirm if creator Kyleroyce is himself a member of the neo-Nazi movement.
Origin
Many online also decried this trend, calling it transphobic and claiming it was connected to the neo-Nazi movement, particularly as it was popular on forums like 4chan that are widely used by people on the far-right. Many screenshots of such posts showed “Super Straight” being applied to logos and flags similar to the Nazi “SS,” or the Schutzstaffel, the paramilitary organization of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Party. We also encountered numerous posts referring to the trend as “SS pride” and one talking about tattooing the SS rune as part of their “Super Straight pride.”
We should note that we have been unable to find some of the original posts in the screenshots below. One post stating “Hail superstraight victory” alongside their “flag” with the “SS” logo, was deleted (The screenshots below contain offensive content.):

The “Super Straight” movement went viral rapidly and is possibly connected to a range of bigoted groups online, based on hundreds of posts we perused on forums like 4chan. Insider reported that the trend emerged from a TikTok video by user Kyleroyce and then spread to 4chan. Mashable reported that the video was uploaded to TikTok on Feb. 21, 2021. The video was deleted off the app, but reemerged on YouTube:
In the video, Kyleroyce says, “I made a new sexuality now.” He argues that this is because he does not want to date trans women:
[…] Straight men like myself I get called transphobic because I wouldn’t date a trans woman. You know they’re like, “Would you date a trans woman?” I’m like, “No.” “Why that’s a female!” “Uh no like that’s not a real woman to me like I want a real woman.” “No, you’re just transphobic.” So now I’m super straight, I only date the opposite gender. Women that are born women so you can’t say I’m transphobic now because that’s just my sexuality you know.
He posted other videos later on TikTok with the username Kyleroyce2, claiming that the social media app deleted his original video because of “hate speech.” Kyleroyce also claimed to have created the black and orange Super Straight “official flag.”
We reached out to TikTok and a spokesperson confirmed that, “user [Kyleroyce] has been banned from the platform for violating our Community Guidelines on hate speech, and we’ve also banned the hashtag #superstraight. When someone tries to search for that hashtag, they are redirected to our Community Guidelines.” The spokesperson added that TikTok launched an investigation as soon as this trend was brought to their attention. The ban on the hashtag #superstraight extended to other accounts dedicated to the trend, like @_superstraight, and even Kyleroyce2 was eventually blocked by TikTok.
Snopes readers shared a number of archived posts with us showing how discussions around “Super Straight” began trending on 4chan around March 5, 2021, a few weeks after the TikTok video was posted. We looked through dozens of archived pages and found that the posts that specifically talk about “Super Straight,” the flag, and the transphobic comments, did not predate the TikTok video. The trend likely originated with Kyleroyce, but we are unable to prove that he is connected to the neo-Nazi movement—though his brainchild is very popular on forums frequented by members of that movement.
A 2019 Southern Poverty Law Center report said, “Transphobia has long been an animating force within the white nationalist movement, but the tenor of that hatred has changed due to two converging factors. White power activists are increasingly embracing violent language and actions as political tools at the same time the transgender rights movement is more active than ever.”
Kyleroyce also appeared to challenge that theory when he posted a video through his second account on TikTok with the caption: “When ppl say Super Straight was created by ‘neo-nazis’ but you created it in your car talking about your sexual preference.”
An unverified Twitter account also denied that the trend was connected to Nazis (The screenshot below contains offensive content.):

Regardless, the videos became extremely popular, with each getting thousands of likes and shares, and the term trended across platforms.
Meanwhile, online, many resisted the term, explaining why it was transphobic:

Robin Tran, a comedian and trans woman, said she coined the term “Super Straight” during a comedy set back in 2017 when she joked about a straight male friend talking about being “hypothetically” attracted to her once she started transitioning. (The following video contains graphic language.):

The “Super Straight” concept has spread across the internet and does not appear to belong to only one specific “movement,” though it is popular among far-right forums. It is difficult to prove its origins among particular far-right groups. We do know now that it did not originate on 4chan, but spread there after a video was posted on TikTok. Therefore, we have updated this claim to “Mostly False.”

Базовые понятия
Существуют 3 основные характеристики кроя джинсов — rise, fit и cut (leg). Разберем каждую из них.
Rise — это непосредственно то, что называется в нашем языке посадкой или высотой талии. Посадка, как мы знаем, может быть заниженной, завышенной или обычной.
Fit — если переводить дословно с английского — fit означает “соответствовать, приспосабливать”, в данном же контексте, этот термин указывает на то, насколько широкими или узкими будут джинсы, и как они сядут на определённую фигуру. Если уж совсем понятно, то это именно как раз та часть кроя джинсов, которая идет от талии до колена.
Cut (leg) — это часть джинсов, которая определяет какими будут штанины — зауженными, клешами или прямыми, т.е. от колена до низа изделия.

Посадка джинсов, или высота талии (Rise)
Теперь подробнее разберем все виды джинсов с разными посадками. Их достаточно много, но я уверенна, что такие знания избавят Вас от разочарований при покупке джинсов. Так что поехали.
High-wasted rise — с названия уже понятно, что речь идет о высокой посадке джинсов, которая так популярна в последнее время среди девушек. Такая посадка подойдет людям со стандартной или худощавой фигурой, ведь она замечательно подчеркивает женский силуэт.
Original rise — джинсы с такой посадкой сидят немного ниже, чем предыдущая модель high-wasted. Original rise располагаются по естественной линии талии.
Regular rise (medium rise) — это средняя посадка джинсов. Она является самой распространённой и подходит для всех типов фигуры.
