Не совсем понял, если у меня выход в сеть идёт через АДСЛ-роутер, то, закрыв порты RPC и DCOM на машине соответственно потеряю связь с роутером? Он- то у меня компьютером видится как локалка.
Вы потеряете связь с сетью Windows. TCP/IP как работал, так и будет работать.

В Vistе нет возможности ‘закрыть’ как на XP. MS-RPC (135) открыт по умолчанию.

Just installed it on my W2K system.
You have to run this as administrator, of course, otherwise you get
error messages.
On doubleclicking the program (in administrator mode), I get the error
message:

Probably because IIRC I have Microsoft Messenger disabled already.
I click OK and the Windows Worm app comes up. I clicked on each
button (except for «UPNP and SSDP Services» which are apparently not
available on Windows 2000). It tells me the button will take effect
on reboot.
Doubleclick the app again, get the same error message as above, click
OK, the app comes up, shows all the buttons are checked Green EXCEPT
the Messenger one which shows still enabled.
Windows Worms says that RPC Locator port 445 is disabled; it does not
show on the netstat report nor on Kerio as listening, so perhaps it
is.
NetBIOS ports 137, 138 and 139 show as disabled on Windows Worms, as
not listening on netstat (except for 139 which is still listening) and
Kerio shows all of them listening.
So I don’t know if I’ve done something wrong, but it does not look
like this is working as advertised.
Clicking on the «Close Messenger» button in Windows Worms gives me the
same error message as above.
I don’t think this thing works. OTOH, it hasn’t given me any Kerio
error messages (yet) as mentioned on the guy’s home page. Doesn’t
appear to be doing any damage to anything.
I find it strange that Kerio is showing the NetBIOS ports open when I
do not even have NetBIOS bound to any of the NICs. Very odd. I must
be missing something here.

Ah, I see on the Wilder Security forum this statement:
However, DCOM even when disabled, does not close port 135 but simply
stop listening on it.
So that explains port 135.
Doesn’t explain why netstat and Kerio show it listening, however.

This thing has thoroughly broken my Windows 2000. I can’t even get
the Control Panel to display properly and the Administrative Tools
functions will not show Properties or anything.
The system is seriously ****ed up.

the Recovery Console, restore my Registry from back when the system
was first installed, which forced me to reinstall my drivers, and I
still can’t access the Add/Remove Programs for some reason. Most
likely I will have to do a complete reinstall of the OS to get rid of
this mess.
Don’t touch this crap software with a ten-foot pole.

So I had to do a complete reinstall.
THEN Keriod Personal Firewall 2.1.5 refused to function. I couldn’t
get out to the Net without getting this error message repeatedly:
Kerio Personal Firewall Driver: MacTransferData: Invalid buffer tag.
The last time I saw that from Kerio was on my Windows 98 when both the
NIC chip on the motherboard and my DSL NIC card were installed with
drivers. Kerio couldn’t handle two NICs at once apparently. I got
rid of the problem on 98, but apparently when I reinstalled 2000 last
night, something got changed so Kerio thinks both NICs are operating.
I uninstalled both NIC drivers, I uninstalled Kerio and reinstalled,
and I uninstalled and reinstalled the SBC DSL Efficient Networks
Enternet 300 DSL client, and nothing solved the problem.
I could ping out to the SBC DNS servers, but as soon as I tried an app
like email or Opera, Kerio would start popping up that message
repeatedly.
Fortunately I had a copy of ZoneAlarm on the system, so I installed
that, which seems to be working okay so far (I had problems with it on
98 which is why I stuck with Kerio for so long).
With the Sasser worm running around, I damn sure didn’t want to be
without a firewall!

THAT SOLUTION DOESN’T WORK.
I ran the Skyrim Launcher so many times, and started the game and ended, and did this repeatedly. At least provide a more detailed explanation or how-to-fix. Because, I am doing exactly as you said, and it doesn’t fix it.

There isn’t a more detailed explanation. You don’t do this and do that and edit this file and check that box.
The docs explain what to do. This is a three year old issue and it wasn’t broken then either. As you can see nothing has changed. There are no bugs in game detection in any way.
You can try installing it as mentioned in 2.2.1 and you can look at what I explain in 2.2.6 because people are known to move their install and that can lead to this issue.
Make sure you download the latest version from releases. Go to where you have TES5Edit.exe and delete the log file. Then run xEdit again. Post the first 10 lines of the log file.
Don’t post past the line that says, [00:00] Background Loader: starting. as I don’t need the entire log, just the top part.

I got it. I think that TES5Edit doesn’t work with Skyrim Special Edition. I found SSEEdit and I think that works with my version. Thanks, anyways.

Yes, that can also be a factor. Once you download the version in releases that I linked. Open the readme.
This program is like anything else that exists. It is hard to know what people will ask and what initial issues they will have. Running the program for the first time user may need to know certain things.
So for the readme it lists all the names the exe can have and explains that if you need it to work with Skyrim, which is just that, Skyrim, then its TES5Edit. Since Skyrim Special Edition has a different folder name for everything we can’t have the same exe for it but to eliminate the need for different code you just rename the file.
So for Skyrim Special Edition you use SSEEdit. For Fallout 4 it is FO4Edit and all that is in the readme that comes with xedit.
But there is no forward support. So the download on the nexus may not work with newer games. So we have the official version renamed already. We do that to eliminate some of the confusion. That way if someone renames the Nexus version to TES6Edit which doesn’t exist, it’s going to error. Since some people don’t update often they could have a version that is simply too old to work a game and need to update. 3.2.1 on the nexus had Skyrim Special Edition support.

So my Skyrim SE updated automatically and since I’m happy with my current mod list I decided to roll it back to the previous version but now my SSEEdit is giving me the same «fatal» error and I just would like to know; is there any way to fix this without running the skyrim launcher? Because if I do that my skyrim will once again be updated which I do not want, but I have activated a few mods (that I had sitting in my list inactive) which LOOT is telling me I should have cleaned.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am having a similar issue, receiving the «Fatal» error from TES5Edit, stating my Skyrim registry cannot be found. However I was able to locate it in the «Software/WOW6432node/Bethesda Softworks/Skyrim Special Edition». Presently I am trying to figure out how to make the application see the current location of Skyrim in the registry or move the folder in the registry without breaking anything.

If you are trying to use TES5Edit instead of SSEEdit for SSE you shouldn’t expect it to work.

@TjGRiM @Rrhyon If you know of the Marvel Universe and Dr. Strange, «Read the entire spell the Warnings come at the end!» So read everything and the warning at the end.
We do not have a way to force things to work. Meaning there are no special command line programs, product keys like you have for Windows, and no configuration files. The procedure is very simple and doesn’t require anyone to ask for clarification about how to make our program recognize your install.
I have documentation and when this happens there is a popup that tells you what to do. We have made this that way because people ask it so many times it is difficult for us to keep some kind of communication open to the public. As you notice our comments section is closed. That is for a more serious reason but it would be unfortunate if we had to close our issue tracker. It is for issues only, it is not a forum. This question is not an issue at all as previously mentioned and I even gave the answer already.
If you read above adkins2010 was saying that he tried to use the launcher as was suggested and it did not work. That is either because of system and permissions issues you configured or you have an illegal copy of the game.
So that all users looking for this issue have something to go over instead of asking our team for an issue we can’t really help you with, here is more information. This has already come with the download or displayed on your screen. The only thing you have not seen already is the online documentation.
Readme file
The first place we provide information is the README.txt
As shown we give you information on which file name works for each game. If you have Classic Skyrim then that is TES5Edit. If you have Skyrim Special Edition then that is SSEEdit. So first you have to be using the properly named EXE with the corresponding game.
Game Launcher
You have to run the launcher. Some people have Windows permissions set to prevent Steam from updating their game. I am sorry if you have to do that but that is not our issue. You must run the launcher to have Steam configure windows. It is required.
For Skyrim it would look like this:

Solution
Run the launcher and verify you have the proper name of the xEdit EXE for the game you are using it with.

@TjGRiM I understand that you feel you have seen many videos and read many guides but the error is explained to you in the popup as I mentioned. You didn’t have to read any guides or watch videos but they are there for those that need more information or are unclear as to what the game’s launcher is. Furthermore as I mentioned all that information is there for future readers so they know what to do to address this issue. It’s not specifically for you.
I understand that some people need older versions for certain Script Extender plugins however, your argument isn’t really valid. It doesn’t take very long before the Script Extender and its plugins are updated. If Script Extender plugins prevent you from using the current version of the game then take that up with the community. It’s not our issue and doesn’t have anything to do with xEdit functionality.
To your comments on how robust the program is in regards to how your install is located, xedit will find your game once you have run the games launcher. All tools such as FNIS, Wrye Bash, and LOOT to name a few find your install the same way. Which makes all of them intuitive to anyone such that any new user doesn’t have to read anything to get started. Our program uses the Steam configuration that Bethesda’s own routines sets up for even its own game to use. Which has been done since Oblivion.
Lastly as the popup mentions we are aware of the two situations that cause the Steam configuration to be removed by Steam. Either the game updated or the user ran the verify integrity of game cache routine to restore system files. That has nothing to do with xEdit functionality and if it makes it inconvenient for you take that up with Steam or Bethesda to address.
Your comments are respectfully noted but deleted. As mentioned in the readme our bug tracker is open for issues with the program. However, it is not a forum. You report the issue, you get an answer, in this case it’s not a bug, and you respectfully move on.

How do I stop getting the install error? Error while opening registry key the system cannot find the file specified
I am having trouble installing Equalizer APO. I successfully use this software in the past but then uninstall it when I got better headphones which did not require that much equalization, but now want to reinstall it and try it with the new headphones. The trouble is it doesn’t install completely right it gives me the error

It also seems to leave one of those old DOS terminal windows open when installing. It appears in my program list as a program I can run, but whenever you open up the configure file which I know from past experience is where you added text file (which specifies how you want to equalize whatever speakers, headphones, etc. you want to equalize)this text file doesn’t open up and you get a error.
So if there is anyone here who could help me solve this problem I will surely appreciate it greatly! I HAVE already tried uninstalling and reinstalling this software several times and it doesn’t help.
What you can try first is to manually create the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EqualizerAPO\Child APOs using regedit.exe.

also if you give me a attached file I am not sure overwrite the registry with your attached file. It appears to me what I am been reading that you use file >import. while highlighting the relevant «EqualizerAPO» in regedit under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EqualizerAPO and in the file menu of regedit you select import you might overwrite what’s there are ready but I’m not sure. I been reading about regedit but it is still not totally clear to me how you use it. So of course I would very much appreciate some help.

From your reg file I can only read that E-APO is installed to one of your devices. When that is the case, E-APO expects that that the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EqualizerAPO\Child APOs is present, which is somehow not the case.
Creating this registry key manually should help in getting the Configurator to work. You might just have mistyped the name or something. However, I think, there is a better way for you to get into a working state:
First, see if there is a backup file in C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO for your audio device. It should be named backup_Realtek High Definition Audio_Lautsprecher.reg. If it is there, double click on it to apply it. This should fix your problem.
If there is no backup file, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render<3781ff5a-9045-4325-bd89-3302d6bd3356>\FxProperties and delete the values

There was no backup file but the second way you described worked.
I have two new questions:
1) I have exported the optimized EQ-settings from REW and imported them in your equalizer. They work for all output channels I adjust in your configurator.
But for the inputs they don’t work. I have checked this by changing the amplification and it has no effect to the input channels I activated in your configurator. I have a RME Fireface 800 as soundcard and use the asio driver of the fireface. Why does it only work for the output channels?
2) I wanted to make a measurement in REW with the corrected EQ-settings to compare the new result to the one without EQ. But the EQ also has no effect in REW although I chose a channel as output where I configured your equalizer to work. Do I do something wrong?

ASIO bypasses Equalizer APO. It is meant as a low latency interface and therefore does not use the audio processing and mixing that Windows applies to normal audio streams. You need to select «Java» as the audio output in Room EQ Wizard instead of ASIO if you want to see the effect of E-APO in your measurements.
I guess that is also the reason why you don’t see any changes on your input channels, you are using ASIO for recording.
