I hope some phone Poirot can help. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge new a few days ago. The feedback was ok (98%) but a few people mentioned refurbished passed off as new so I am suspicious. My phone has a couple of small blemishes (that could arguanbly been caused b y the post office) but the back side of it is different to my old (broken) S7 Edge.

I’ve tried googling but nothing comes up. Does this mean it is refurbished at this address perhaps? or is it a normal thing?
If it is refurbished I could have saved money going to Amazon and getting next day delivery so it would p%^& me off.

Nope, it’s not odd, not for a new one or an old one.
What is odd is that you’re willing to accept anything less than a 100% perfect phone.
If you ordered a new phone and you paid for a new phone then you should receive a phone that is totally blemish, mark, scuff, scratch free.
A phone that gets marked in transit is a phone that wasn’t packed properly.
In your shoes I’d be sending it back for a refund and buying one elsewhere. I’d be doing that by opening a not as described dispute and then using the label they provide and posting it back.

I am from Bangladesh. I got a S7 edge SM-G935FD from abroad. I don’t know its variation. They wrote SAMSUNG S7 EDGE SM-G935FD, YATELEY,GU46 6GG,UK, on the back of the phone. Now problem im facing that my phone reboots continuesly, then it goes shut down. Its only turns on after installing a new firmware only. Then after some days, again it shows same problem. I have tried many farmwares, but same thing happens. I don’t know what should I do now. I am in deep frustration. Please help me.

It can be Firmware, conflicting app or a hardware problem.
For the conflicting apps, try starting in SAFE MODE and run as long as possible.
When I used Marshmallow, I could turn it on in safe mode. And after clearing cache file of messenger and other apps, it works fine again. But I had to do this boring work everyday. And in nougat, safe mode trick does not works, and reboot problem starts after installation. Finally it turns of untill installing a new farmware.
Are you saying that the phone worked ok in SAFE MODE?
If so, then you have to find the app that is causing the conflict and remove it.
Clearing cache may give a temporary solution only.
Yes. But safe mode trick works in marsmallow only. I think increasing cache file of any application would be responsible for it. I found facebook messenger as a culprit. Besides other apps are also responsible when cache file is inreased. This way is not compitable for me. Cause, Finally after 20-25 days, it goes dead again by rebooting continuesly.
And when I install nougat, I can use it for a few time. Same rebooting problem occurs.
Dear soul bird i have facing same problem with my device.i am from bd and my device is sm-g935fd samsung yateley,gu46 6gg uk.but after i buy someone it force restart and continuously.when i update bd firmware it shows same probelm what you describe as above.after few days i will decide reset the device and then update again bd firmware but when i reseting it takes a long time it may be 35 minutes but no result.then i force restart and after my device won’t receive manually firmware update and it looks like date and blue light indicator shows and goes black screen.what solutions buddy
