Парокапсулы
Парокапсулы ZERUST – это ингибитор коррозии в пластико-поролоновой упаковке для удобного способа применения технологии защиты от коррозии. Парокапсулы Zerust являются старейшим членом семейства продуктов ZERUST ЛИК. При установке этих автономных капсул внутри замкнутого пространства пары ЛИК распространяются в направлении всех доступных поверхностей. Конденсированные молекулы ЛИК пассивируют железо, сталь, медь, латунь и алюминий.
Установка
Парокапсулы ZERUST легко и просто устанавливаются в течение секунд, не требуя инструментов или специальных усилий. Просто удалите клейкую ленту с задней части капсулы и прикрепите капсулу к любой внутренней поверхности. Важно следовать указаниям по установке, что поможет получить оптимальные эксплуатационные характеристики при использовании парокапсул ZERUST.
Радиус защитного действия
Для каждой парокапсулы ZERUST существует определенное расстояние, на котором обеспечивается защита от коррозии. Оно называется «радиус защиты» и обозначается в футах первой цифрой номера модели на каждой парокапсуле.
При решении вопроса о том, какую модель парокапсулы ZERUST использовать для ваших целей, убедитесь, что все металлические поверхности, нуждающиеся в защите, находятся в пределах расстояния, обозначаемого как «радиус защиты».
Защита в химически коррозионной атмосфере
В сильно коррозионной атмосфере и экстремальных условиях может потребоваться бóльшее количество капсул, которые необходимо заменять чаще, чем обозначено на этикетке.
При нормальных атмосферных условиях парокапсулы ZERUST снижают скорость коррозии настолько, что коррозия может рассматриваться как практически невидимая. В агрессивных атмосферных условиях, таких, как соленая вода, морской воздух или среда, содержащая промышленные загрязнения, или в тех случаях, когда превышен лимит рН (оптимальный интервал значений рН находится между 4.5 и 10.5), парокапсула может увеличить интервал времени до появления первых признаков ржавчины – но не на неограниченный срок.
Замкнутое пространство
Парокапсулы ZERUST лучше всего работают внутри замкнутых пространств, где обмен воздуха с внешней атмосферой ограничен. Тем не менее эти замкнутые пространства нет необходимости делать герметичными или воздухонепроницаемыми.
Практика показала, что замена воздуха дважды в день при использовании, например, внутри электрической коробки управления не оказывает негативного влияния на эффективность капсулы. Эта скорость воздухообмена является обычной в вентилируемых электрических коробках управления, где тепло, генерируемое устройством, создает слабую конвекцию воздуха.

Капсулы особенно удобны для коррозионной защиты замкнутых пространств, в которых расположены электрические устройства. Реле, контакторы, переключатели, электронные узлы, соединительные части и т.п. после внесения капсул разрушаются с заметно меньшей скоростью.
Сохранение защитных свойств в условиях интенсивного движения воздуха
При использовании парокапсул ZERUST внутри замкнутых пространств, где происходит регулярная замена воздуха, общей рекомендацией является размещение капсулы максимально близко к тому месту, где воздух входит внутрь. В этих местах происходит заметное движение воздуха, в связи с чем радиус защитного действия капсулы значительно снижается: быстро движущийся воздух уносит пары, снижая таким образом концентрацию ЛИК.
В таких случаях для защиты чувствительных поверхностей металла на расстоянии нескольких дюймов от них необходимо разместить дополнительные капсулы. Таким образом будет увеличена скорость насыщения парами, что скомпенсирует потери, связанные с движением воздуха. В общем, размещайте капсулы таким образом, чтобы весь входящий внутрь замкнутого пространства воздух обязательно проходил вблизи капсулы прежде, чем достигнуть голой поверхности металла.
Коррозия, вызываемая водой.
Парокапсулы ZERUST являются эффективными для уменьшения воздушной коррозии. Это исключает защиту от коррозии под действием воды, обычно наблюдающейся на дне корпуса. Поэтому необходимо, чтобы либо корпус был герметичен относительно скапливающейся воды, либо использовался соответствующий дренаж.

How it works?
Zerust® products work by releasing a harmless, non-toxic, odorless, colorless vapor into the air around your metal item. Protective molecules settle on all exposed metal surfaces, forming a very thin protective layer that is just a few molecules thick. What is the difference between a rust inhibitor and rust preventative?
Rust inhibitors are commonly chemicals added to a substance to prevent corrosion or lower the rate of corrosion. The inhibitor molecule attaches or coats the metal surface, by forming a thin protective film either by itself or in conjunction with metallic ions, providing a protective barrier film that stops the corrosive reaction from developing.
Rust preventative coatings rely on the formation of a barrier on the metal surface to prevent water from contacting the metal surface. The protective coating that forms vary from (dry-to-the-touch, oily, semi-hard or soft) depending on the product used and also allow different application methods (brush-on, spray-on, or immersion/dip).
